  The first step in the game is to choose the initial dealer.
  To do that, the Pinochle deck is shuffled, and every player is given a card.
  The player with the highest card will be the initial dealer.

  less than 1,000, the former wins the game. If both players go over 1,250 at the end of the hand, the play continues
  for a 1,500-point game, and so on. However, this seldom
  happens because either player has the right, during
  the play, to "declare themselves out." Understanding the values of
  the cards and the scoring of melds is essential to playing pinochle.
  
  
  Obviously, you don’t want to discard cards that are needed to form your melds.
  If you have a King and Queen of the same suit, you’ll want to try to hold on to them for the 2 marriage points.
